Foundation Tips And Tricks

So foundation..... oh yes, one of those makeup items we search for, and can never seem to find the right color, or coverage, or formula. Hopefully this video will help you peoples see the light at the end of the tunnel in your foundation search, and spend the least amount of time and money along the way.
 =)

Some favorites:
Dry Skin:
Almay Smart Shade Makeup
Maybelline Dream Liquid Mousse (The shades of this don't go light enough for people with very light skin and they don't carry many cool toned shades)
Cover Girl Aqua Smooth Cream Foundation.

Combination Skin:
Any of the dry skin out oily skin ones, or a combination of them.
OR google for the best foundations for combination skin, (I don't have combo skin or know many people with it so I can't point you towards the PERFECT foundation. My best advice is to use a combo of different formula foundations over a good primer) (Primer all over, moisturizing foundation on the dry areas and oil free foundation on the oily areas)

Oily Skin:
(Both are oil free)
Maybelline Pure Makeup
Rimmel Stay Matte Foundation (this only comes in a few shades)

Primers:
E.L.F Mineral  Face Primer
Rimmel Fix and Perfect ( good for uneven skin tones)

All opinions are my own, I have paid for all products mentioned.

Thanks for reading peoples and I'll talk to you later!!!
:)
Peace and love and stuff.

Multi Purpose Products. (video, Images, etc)

Yay yay, product shots are fun fun, but a lot of work. I did bunches for my new video, (can you believe I talked for 30 min straight?) So I made this video about multiple use products, things that have more than one use, things that maybe you wouldn't normally consider for that use. Lip balm as a cheek highlighter, use cream shadows as lip erase, lipstick as shadow base etc etc.
As the video uploads I feel pretty accomplished I took several nice photo's today, something I've really been slacking on lately. so yay me, plus I'll be trying to get videos up on youtube about everyday or two for the next few weeks, I have a few more tips on saving money I want to share, plus a makeup look/TAG.

Also I will be making individual blogs going in depth about each type of product like I do in the video, with swatches and examples etc. Just a more not so crazy and squeezed into 10 min, and also for those of you that don't like videos. those will be up soon. :)

Also if you guys have any requests, even if you aren't a subscriber to my channel but are my facebook friend, I'd love to hear them, so send me requests on here, on facebook, on youtube, any one works.
Give me feedback on these photo's also please, would love to know what you guys think!

Black and White Photography Makeup

Vintage lips, dark liner, extreme blush, happiness.
I set out to make the perfect look that would translate onto black and white photography with looking cakey, over done, or washed out. I didn't film this because it was just an experiment and my experiments always take forever to film. so I opted for this, if you like it , request it and I'll redo it for a tutorial. here is the finished look, pretty foxy eh?

This image is in color, I took Pictures along to way, so follow me!
I started with a matte foundation, which I normally don't, but for photo's you don't want to pick up any pearly colors in foundation, so i stuck to matte.
Then I applied some slight shimmer shadow in a medium color to the lid, a little tiny shimmer keeps the eyes from looking to dry and cakey. but don't go for all out glitter, (especially for a vintage look.)

Sweeping a dark brown matte color into the crease contours the eye,
and keeps the shimmer to a minimum.
Then I applied a matte face powder as a highlight.

Line with liquid liner to define, (I hate liquid liner.)
Then pack a dark brown matte shadow (crease color)
on top of the liner to soften it.
Add mascara.

Buff on some blush, I applied mine in layers of 3 colors to really intensify it,
again avoid too much shimmer.

Layering on 3 lipsticks, one in nude, one in coral and one in a deep berry red,
all of them then sealed on with purple and pink shadow pressed on top.

Ready to shoot!
Oh! and brows are again that dark matte brown, in my natural brow shape.
Hot lips!
Why are roses in your mouth sexy? They don't taste that great and they're sharp.
As you can see the shadow doesn't look too dry.
Thanks you guys for reading this blog post,
let me know if its worthy of a tutorial!

You guys are fab! :)

On Your Marks, Get Set, Leggings!!!!

So once upon a time, Carley was browsing her local Style Heaven (or Value Village whatever you want to call it.....) She came upon this pair of leggings oh so wonderful and bold, with a killer checkered flag pattern, and here they are!!!

They are so flippin sweet! I love the 80's feel to them, now all i need is a super long hot pink tank and I'm good to go, :) but for now this yellow XL boyfriend tee from target and the cut up capri pants (now skirt) work quite well.
Hope you all enjoyed this little style snackage and see you all later...
ROCK ON!!!

Orange Lips And Glowing Face

This look exudes summer to me, soft glowing face makeup and bright pop of color on the lips.
I like the idea of orange lips because they are the neutral point between yellow and red (the two skin undertones) so naturally orange lips should work with all skin tones, (or so i suspect) I really like the way it turned out.
