Leggings for winter!

Long time no blog!
Yeah it's been FOREVER.
So here with some style stuff!

I have had this pair of long under wear I stole from my mom forever ago, and about a year ago I started wearing them as leggings, they are teal and awesome, they aren't too heavy for summer but are awesome for wearing skirts and dresses in winter :) They are from, here!

This site is so wonderful! My mom has been buying from them for a long time, and they have reasonable prices, (I am so in love with the purple pants)

Just thought I'd share this love of mine! Have warm (and brightly colored!) legs this winter! :) hee.

Tarnish: A Wearable Face Chart

I'm Starting a series of sorts, kinda like the famous "Wearable Wednesday, Fierce Friday" by Leesha "Xsparkage".
So not to copy the lovely Leesha I am doing something similar, I will be doing looks from MAC face charts, One wearable one a week, one not so wearable one a week.
Some of the face charts will be older and not available on the MAC site anymore, (once they stop the collection they remove the charts) but I will be making a video explaining how to find the current face charts on the site.

So for the first one I decided to keep it simple, smoky eyes are fun, so I did the look "Tarnish" from the Dr Fallicier (wow spelled it right on the first try!) portion of the venomous villains collection.

:)

Pretty cool eh?

Video?

So go check out the video, and subscribe so you can see two face charts a week!

(Also any requests, suggestions please send me!) :)

This is the first installment of the "creation of a creature" collection.
So yesterday Sedrie was born, the ghost of a french artist, who's story I expect to expand in the future, right now she haunts a home in Canada, living with a young violin player, who of course has no idea she's living with him.

Covering Your Eyebrows!?!?!

There are many many videos and articles explaining how to cover your brows realistically. I first spotted this technique in "Making Faces" by Kevyn Aucoin, it's been one of the hardest techniques to get good at, I've tried the glue stick method I've seen on youtube, and it never worked as well as I wanted, I've tried lash glue and flesh latex, and none worked then I got the idea to use toilet paper to create scars and burns from MsKTrues makeup artist, and thought, besides using it to do that I could use it to cover brows!!! So this it is, in video form, I only used a few items, all of which you should have, if not they don't cost much and are easy to find. :)

OH! It's also very simple to remove, just use a oil based make up remover (I like baby oil, or olive oil) on a rag and massage it back and forth until the glue comes off, it doesn't hurt, just be gentle and it should only take a minute. DO NOT try to peel the glue and toilet paper off, it will hurt!!!

Things you will need: (and probably already have)
Toilet Paper (I HOPE you have this!)
Elmers Glue Stick (I like the purple kind because you can tell when it's dry, these cost about $2 for a 3 pack)
Artists Spatula (a cake spatula or butter knife works just fine too just make sure it isn't sharp)
White Face Paint (Kryolan. Mehron, Ben Nye, or any white face paint from the costume store)
Face Powder (Baby powder, powder foundation, blotting powder)
Concealer or Cream Color in your skin color (Matte is the best. Paint Pots and MAC Paints, Lo'Real HIP Paints, Dream matte mousse concealer)
Foundation in your skin color (Creams and liquids work best)

Foundation and concealer do not BOTH have to be used, one or the other is fine. If you have very light brows white face paint is not needed.

All pictures taken by me.

So I hoped this helped anyone looking to cover their eyebrows. (Halloween, theater, drag, costume, whatever!)  :)

Orange Phoenix Look

TADA! New look! I got this sample of Neo-Orange pigment at the MAC counter and couldn't wait to try it out.
I had been wanting to do a bird inspired look because I am planning on being a bird for a photo shoot, this is a a toned done version of that bird.  It's inspired by a phoenix/exotic bird mix, I don't really like birds when they are real, or alive...........  So my knowledge is of birds is limited but I know some about them, anyway this is just my interpretation. Also the head band was inspired by these on Etsy: http://www.etsy.com/listing/38313003/vintage-inspired-black-feather-headband

Paid For everything, except pigment sample which I received for free. This does not change my opinion on any of these products.
All pictures belong to me.

Mascara: Tips And Tricks

My friend requested I do a video about mascara,so I did!!!
So mascara. It is so awesome, yet so hard to find the right one, a lot like foundation, mascara really does different things depending on who you are, very few people have the PERFECT mascara, but nonetheless, not finding a perfect mascara right away isn't always as big of a deal because most mascaras are fairly inexpensive. A little history: The first mascara was made for Maybelline (which ironically make some of my LEAST favorite mascaras) anyway they started out in cake formula (some brands still sell this) and then Max Factor later invented the popular tube form of mascara.
Mascara is one of the most popular tools for daily makeup, some people I know wear nothing BUT mascara, it does everything from gently open your eyes for a natural look, to really dramatize and define a look.
Now as fun as mascara is make sure to toss it after 6 months, or anytime before that if it dries out, smells funny, gets lumps in it, or changes color.
So um.... yeah that's about all about mascara, look below the video for some of my favorite mascaras!!!

Favorites:
Wet 'N Wild Mega Lash Waterproof ($1.99)*
Fresh Firebird Mascara ($26.00 Full size $10.00 For baby set w/supernova) (Sephora)

Lo'real Telescopic Explosion ($7.00-12.00) *
